TERMS OF SALE FOR OUR USED BUSES AND WHEELCHAIR VANS
Terms of sale apply to all sales unless other terms are agreed upon by all parties.
Payment Methods
Cash (in person), certified checks, bank transfers, or 3rd-party financing. All funds must be in US dollars only. Please be sure to have full payment and/or approved financing in place before making your sale final. Call us for more information.
Deposits
Buyers typically submit a 10% non-refundable deposit is due within 2 business days of the close of the sale to secure the vehicle. Additional deposits for custom work will be arranged on a sale-by-sale basis.
Payment of Balance Due
The buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 7 days of the close of the sale. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.
Additional Fees and Taxes
In-state buyers (New York) will be responsible for sales tax. Out-of-state buyers are responsible for all state, county, and city taxes and fees and title/registration fees in the state where the vehicle will be registered. In-transit tags are available for a nominal charge to out-of-state buyers. Under New York State rules, a $175.00 charge is included for title transfer in the addition to the cost of registration, temporary or in-transit tags, if any.
Shipping
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We will assist the buyer with finding a shipping company – call our operations department at 516-333-7760 for more information. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after the vehicle leaves our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company.
Buyer’s Inspection
Every effort has been made to accurately and fairly describe this vehicle to you. Please be advised that used vehicles will have typical scratches and dings based on age, mileage, and prior use. Mechanical parts can and will fail on both new and used vehicles. We welcome and recommend a buyer’s inspection. If you plan to have a buyer’s inspection, please ensure you inspect the vehicle before closing the sale. The buyer is responsible for any inspection costs.
Warranty
Unless stated in the vehicle description, all vehicles are sold as commercial vehicles and “as is”. No representations or warranties are made by the used bus seller. Any verbal representations or warranties should not be relied upon by buyers. Manufacturer’s warranties may still apply. Extended warranties may be available; please contact us for additional details.
